Ludhiana, May 29, 2026: In accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, District Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Friday conducted the monthly inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) warehouse located at PAU.
The inspection was carried out in the presence of Joint Chief Electoral Officer Navneet Kaur Bal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Poonam Singh, and representatives of various political parties.
Speaking on the occasion, Jain emphasized that such periodic inspections are mandatory to ensure the safety, security, and integrity of election equipment. He stated that the exercise was conducted smoothly while maintaining complete transparency and adhering strictly to the instructions of the Election Commission.
The inspection is a routine and mandatory exercise conducted in the presence of political party representatives to ensure transparency and strict compliance with electoral norms.
