Ludhiana, July 22, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain conducted a comprehensive review of final preparations on Tuesday.
The meeting involved key officials from PWD, Public Health, PSPCL, Airports Authority of India (AAI), NHAI, drainage departments, and representatives from contractual firms.
Deputy Commissioner Jain assessed the progress of on-going minor works, including CCTV installation and cleanliness, which are slated for completion within a day. He emphasized that the district administration is working in close coordination with the AAI and other agencies to ensure all preparations are finalized promptly.
Jain confirmed that the terminal building is fully operational and that the airport has been officially assigned its airport code.
Expressing optimism, Jain highlighted that Halwara International Airport is set to become an economic driver, fostering industrial growth, boosting exports, generating employment in the region.
