DC inaugurates BHARAT TEX 2024 Road Show in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, December 20, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Surabhi Malik today inaugurated BHARAT TEX 2024 road show at park plaza hotel wherein representatives of textile industry participated enthusiastically. She lauded this effort aimed at creating a platform for all stakeholders belonging to textile industry so as to provide new business opportunities to them. 

The event was organized by WWEPC and supported by TEXPROCIL, AEPC, and PDEXCIL. The event has witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 175 textile exporters from Ludhiana, Amritsar, and Panipat.

The Roadshow was graced by Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles Rohit Kansal, Deputy Secretary, MoT PK Meena, ADC Ludhiana Gautam Jain and GM DIC Ludhiana Rakesh Kansal. 

The interactive session at the Roadshow generated considerable interest in BHARAT TEX 2024. Participants actively engaged in discussions about the event's potential to bring together leading stakeholders from across the global textile chain and unlock new business opportunities. 

Rohit Kansal encouraged industry stakeholders to actively participate in BHARAT TEX 2024 and leverage the supportive business environment. He expressed confidence that the event would serve as a catalyst for the Indian textile industry's continued growth and competitiveness. 

The Roadshow featured a welcome address by Romesh Khajuria, a comprehensive presentation on BHARAT TEX by PK Meena, and a concluding vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Siddhartha Rajgopal.

Prominent personalities from the textile industry including Rakesh Mehra, Chairman, CITI, Ujwal Lahoti (Past Chairman, TEXPROCIL), Dr. Siddhartha Rajgopal (ED, TEXPROCIL), Vishwanath Agarwal (Chairman, PDEXCIL), Mahesh N Sanil, ED, PDEXCIL, and Harish Dua (Member, AEPC) were present in the event. 

WWEPC was represented by its senior leadership, including Chairman Romesh Khajuria, Vice Chairman Sumir Dhir, Suresh Thakur, and Sanjay Chawla.
