Hoshiarpur, October 7, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain on Wednesday flagged-off Livasa Hospital, Hoshiarpur’s mobile cancer screening & early detection bus as part of hospital’s initiative to mark breast cancer awareness month.

Among others, Dr. Mayank Kapoor, consultant–medical oncology, Dr. Shubh Mahindru, director–surgical oncology, and Abhinav Srivastava, regional facility director, Livasa Hospital were also present.

Dr Mayank Kapoor said, “The specially equipped bus will offer digital mammography, pap smear tests and prostate-specific antigen(PSA) tests for breast, cervical and prostate cancer screening, respectively, while encouraging people to prioritise preventive healthcare, seek timely medical advice and access appropriate follow-up care.”

Through this initiative, we want to encourage women to prioritise breast health, feel comfortable discussing their concerns with doctors and understand that a cancer diagnosis does not mean there is no hope,  said Dr. Shubh Mahindru.”

Anurag Yadav, CEO- Livasa Hospitals, said that through our Mobile Screening Bus, we are taking an important step towards making preventive healthcare more accessible to communities.”

Through this initiative, we aim to bridge gaps in access to preventive healthcare by taking cancer awareness and screening closer to local communities, informed Abhinav Srivastava.
