39 girls belonging to the economically weaker sections will be given scholarship worth Rs.10,000 per annum

DC Ferozepur released poster of Pratibha Girls Scholarship Program of Mayank Foundation 

Ferozepur, July 15, 2022: The Ferozepur-based Mayank Foundation today launched the new session of the "Girls Scholarship Program" to encourage post-school higher education among girls belonging to the economically weaker sections, the poster of which was Released by Deputy Commissioner Amrit Singh who appreciated this initiative of the Foundation.

DC Amrit singh after release of the poster said that under the banner of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahatosav" and "Beti Bachao Beti Padao", the District Administration is actively collaborating with Civil Society Organizations to put forward the cause of girls education and well being. "Pratibha is one such step towards this cause", said DC Amrit Singh while praising the initiative of the MF. 

Rattandeep Kaur , DPO informed that the purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to needy girls of border districts to continue their post-school higher education.

Arnish Monga  , Vice President of the Foundation, while giving details about this, said that 13 girls each from 2020 and 2021 from economically weaker sections of the society were given ₹ 10,000 per student last year for three years to continue their education under Pratibha Scholarship. This year also another 13 i.e. a total of 39 girls will be given this scholarship.

Dr. Gazal Preet Arneja , Senior Vice President informed that in the selection process a written test will be conducted along with adding the marks of class X and XII. Pratibha Scholarship is for those students who have passed 10th class in the year 2020 and 12th class in the year 2022 only from government and aided schools of Ferozepur district. Written examination will be organised in the month of August, 2022. Preference will be given to the economically weaker section students who ranked higher in the written examination. The last date to apply is July 31, 2022. Once selected, the candidate will be given a scholarship of Rs.10,000 per year for 3 years.

On this occasion Rattandeep kaur , District program officer ,   Ashok Behal , secretary Red Cross , Arnish Monga, Ashwani Sharma , Ajay Kumar, Anil Machhral, Kamal Sharma and Deepak Sharma of Mayank Foundation were present.
