DC directs Animal Husbandry department to provide door-to-door services in 14 villages
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Friday ordered the Animal Husbandry department to deliver door-to-door animal healthcare services in 14 villages falling near the Sutlej River.
Ludhiana, Sep 5, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Friday ordered the Animal Husbandry department to deliver door-to-door animal healthcare services in 14 villages falling near the Sutlej River.
Veterinary teams, comprising veterinary officers, inspectors, and support staff, will operate from 8 AM to 8 PM to ensure comprehensive coverage. The department has also established animal rescue centers at Mattewara Mandi and Khasi Kalan Mandi to provide additional healthcare support.
The initiative covers the following villages: Meharban, Mangli Kadar, Mangat, Ravat, Khawjke, Dheri, Boot, Khasi Khurd, Sasrali Colony, Boothgarh, Hawaas, Mattewara, Seerha, and Mangli Tanda.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Malik, Senior Veterinary Officer, has been appointed as the nodal officer to oversee the operations.
