DC asks SDMs and Revenue Officers to submit their detailed proposals for revision in collector rates, if any

Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today asked the Sub Divisional Magistrates and Revenue Officers to submit their detailed proposals for revision in the Collector Rates, if any, for registration of land deeds in the district.

Chairing a meeting with the SDMs and the Revenue Officers, the Deputy Commissioner said that the review in the collector rates have been pending since long and any such decision has to be taken after a thorough brainstorming.

He said that the officers must get a proper feedback from all the stakeholders at grass root level and submit their report to him by this week.

Sharma said that the basic thumb rule for the review of the collector rate must be to accord top priority to the interest of the general public at every cost.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that after getting report from all the SDMs and the Revenue Officers the district administration would compile the report and send it to the state government for the necessary action.

He said that this was a preliminary meeting and the compilation of the report would take place after minute deliberations with the officers of the district administration.

Sharma said that the officers must ensure that the report from them was submitted well in time for the further necessary action.
