DC appeals to voters to cooperate with BLOs in house-to-house verification

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Himanshu Jain on Saturday appealed to the voters to give their wholehearted support to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the house-to-house verification being carried out as part of Pre-Special Intensive Revision (Pre-SIR) activities in the district.

Ludhiana, April 3, 2026: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Himanshu Jain on Saturday appealed to the voters to give their wholehearted support to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the house-to-house verification being carried out as part of Pre-Special Intensive Revision (Pre-SIR) activities in the district.
Jain informed that as per instructions received from the Election Commission of India and Punjab Chief Electoral Officer , Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is likely to begin in this month. In preparation for this, pre-SIR activities are currently underway, under which matching/mapping of voters in the current electoral roll is being done with the 2003 electoral roll.
Jain added that for this purpose, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the assembly constituencies are organizing special camps in their respective booths and conducting house-to-house verification for matching/mapping with the 2003 voter list. He appealed to all voters to extend their cooperation in this important exercise of the Election Commission of India and to provide the necessary documents to the BLOs during the Special Intensive Revision. Voters must ensure that their name in the current voter list is properly mapped with the 2003 voter list.
