DC appeals to residents to apply for Environment Conservation Awards 

Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik has appealed to residents to apply for Environment and Cleanliness Awards to be conferred during the Environment Conservation Fair 2024. This fair will be held on 3 and 4 February 2024 at Nehru Rose Garden Ludhiana. 

DC appeals to residents to apply for Environment Conservation Awards 

Ludhiana, January 4, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik has appealed to residents to apply for Environment and Cleanliness Awards to be conferred during the Environment Conservation Fair 2024. This fair will be held on 3 and 4 February 2024 at Nehru Rose Garden Ludhiana. 

The DC said that during this fair more than 100 stalls would be set up to showcase the various activities required to save the environment and future generations. 

She said that this fair was being organized by Soch a Non-Government Organization, which was working to conserve natural resources and reconnect people with nature. This organization has been organizing environmental conservation fairs for the past two years through which awareness is being created among people about the conservation of natural resources.

Surabhi Malik said that 10 awards worth Rs 5 lakh will be given to Gram Panchayats, NGOs, individuals, students, etc. who have done commendable work in various fields in this environmental conservation fair.
