DC and SSP hold meeting with industrialists

Nawanshahr, May 25, 2022: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Kumar Sharma on Wednesday held a meeting with industrialists of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and sought their feedback for requirement of manpower, improving law and order and others.

Presiding over a meeting with them and heads of various departments in district administrative complex, Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police solicited their active participation to ensure job opportunities to unemployed youth by skilling them as per need of their nature of works.

NPS Randhawa asked the industrialists to provide the data regarding the kind of skilled workers they require so that administration can work accordingly and new courses can be started in the skill development centres. Deputy Commissioner stressed that the collective efforts of the administration and industrialists can tackle unemployment from the state by generating maximum job opportunities for youth seeking jobs.

He directed the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) to prepare report about needs of industrialists which would be sent to high-ups so that administration can shape skill training program as per the needs of local industries.

Deputy Commissioner said administration is already in process of opening skill centre in Khatkar Kalan and other parts of the areas of district and youth would be trained there by the experts to make them skilled and educated manpower as per their desires.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Sharma sought the suggestions from the industrialists to further improve the traffic and law and order to ensure uninterrupted operations in their units. He said that police is committed for provide safer environment to them. He said that the aim of the meeting was to bridge the gap between the administration and industry.

Both Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police assured that all the issues of the industrialists would be solved soon.
