Panchkula, October 9, 2025: Dass & Brown Experiential Learning School (Dbels), Sector 6, MDC, Panchkula, celebrated Indian Air Force Day with an inspiring and educational visit to the Indian Air Force Heritage Museum Chandigarh, where curiosity met courage and learning took flight. The visit aimed to honour the bravery and dedication of the Indian Air Force while giving students a first-hand experience of the discipline, teamwork, and technological excellence that define the nation's defenders of the sky. Upon arrival, the students were greeted by officers who shared fascinating insights about their roles, the functioning of aircraft, and the advanced systems that help safeguard the country's airspace. The sight of majestic aircraft displayed across the base filled the young learners with awe and admiration.
For many students, it was their first encounter with real fighter jets and helicopters, a moment that left a lasting impression and sparked dreams of aviation and service. The students actively interacted with Air Force personnel, asking questions about their training, responsibilities, and experiences in the field. Through these interactions, they developed a deeper appreciation for the values of courage, discipline, and patriotism that lie at the heart of the armed forces.
Vihaan Atrey, a Stage 6 student, shared his excitement, saying, “It felt like a dream to see fighter jets up close! I’ve always read about them, but standing beside one made me realise how powerful and advanced our Air Force really is.” Ian Sharma, another Stage 6 student, added, “The officers inspired me the most. Their stories showed how much courage and discipline it takes to serve the country. I felt proud and motivated to do something great for India someday”, he said
Principal, Anju Mehta, expressed her pride in the initiative, saying, "At Dass & Brown, we believe that true education goes beyond the classroom. This visit allowed our students to see real-life examples of courage, commitment, and national pride, values that form an essential part of our educational philosophy." The visit not only deepened students understanding of India's Air Force but also reflected the school's commitment to experiential learning, where academics are seamlessly integrated with real-world exposure to nurture responsible, confident, and compassionate citizens of tomorrow.
