DAVIET SIGNED MOU WITH HUAWEI TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Jalandhar, June 26, 2019: DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jalandhar and Huawei Telecommunications Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Sector. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Frank Duan, Huawei and SE-Asia Region Channel Service Manager with Dr. Manoj Kumar (Principal) DAVIET, Jalandhar.
The Principal Dr. Manoj Kumar & Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering Dr. Neeru Malhotra welcomed the dignitaries and in the address to elite gathering Dr. Manoj Kumar said that the principle motto of DAVIET is to promote and strengthen the education in the field of Modern Era Technologies to further understand and prepare the students in terms of industry demands, DAVIET is happy and acknowledge the collaboration with Huawei, which will provide ICT based courses and global competitions to the students and will train the faculty to strengthen their skills. He further added that the objective of MoU is to develop and expand an Industry- Institute partnership by setting up a state-of- the art training facilities to further strengthen the quality of technical skills of the students of DAVIET Jalandhar. Dr. Manoj Kumar further added that the letter of intent also outlines a mutual cooperation to provide the ICT based Huawei Certified internship programs and facilitate the placement support to the certified students.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Himanshu Mahajan, General Manager, Huawei Enterprise Business Group, Liang Zhang, SE- Asia Eco System Development Manager, Rajeev Kabra, CEO & Director, Cognitel, Satya Mishra, Head of Sales and Marketing, Cognitel and Anurag Byala, Cognitel, Consulting Partner, Dr. Jagjit Singh Malhotra, Dean RIC, DAVIET, Jalandhar, various Heads of the Departments and Deans of DAVIET Jalandhar.
On this occasion, Frank Duan assured that Huawei shall also provide simulators, training kits and e-learning content which will be the easy access for the students of DAVIET. He further added that this will provide a modern platform for technical training and evaluation through ICT based Global Competitions.
Frank Duan along inaugurated the first one week Technical Training session under the title ‘Train the Trainer’ at DAVIET Jalandhar. It is a one week training programme for Huawei Certification which will be guided and assisted by Mr. Ankit Mangla, Cognitel Trainer. The Training Program will be attended by more than 20 faculty members from various prominent institutes located in Karnataka, Amritsar, Jalandhar like IKG PTU and other colleges.
