Jalandhar, August 28, 2025: Upholding the tradition of excellence in sports, students of DAV University have once again brought laurels to the institution by excelling at national-level competitions.
Vaishnavi, a second-year student of B.Sc. Health and Physical Education, exhibited outstanding skill and determination at the Senior Yogasana State Championship, held in Patiala from August 23 to 25, 2025. She secured two gold medals and one silver medal, marking a stellar performance that highlighted her mastery in Yogasana and dedication towards holistic fitness.
Adding to the university’s pride, Kavita, a student of M.P.Ed, made her mark at the Karate Championship 2025, organized by the Karate Association of India at Kurukshetra, Haryana, on August 27, 2025. She won a silver medal, showcasing her strength, discipline, and excellence in martial arts.
Prof (Dr) Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of DAV University congratulated the medal winners for their remarkable performances and stated that their achievements not only uplift the university’s reputation but also inspire other students to pursue sports with passion and perseverance. 
Congratulating the achievers, Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Arora, Registrar of DAV University, said, “Our students have once again demonstrated that with dedication and perseverance, they can achieve excellence not only in academics but also in co-curricular activities. These victories reflect the true spirit of DAV University, which nurtures all-round development.”
Sharing his thoughts, Dr. Yasbeer Singh, Director of the Department of Physical Education, remarked, “The achievements of Vaishnavi and Kavita are the result of consistent training, discipline, and passion. They serve as role models for other students, motivating them to take sports seriously as a career and lifestyle choice.”
The winners dedicated their victory to DAV University and faculty of Department of Physical Education, who not only provide them with world class facilities but felicitate them with such opportunities where they can shine bright. The proud winners were felicitated at the events, and their victory moments were captured with medals and certificates, further adding glory to the institution.
