DAV University Signs MoU with NIPM Punjab Chapter to Establish Student Chapter

DAV University, Jalandhar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Punjab Chapter, to establish an NIPM Student Chapter at the university. The collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia linkages and enhancing professional learning opportunities for students, particularly in the domain of Human Resource Management.

Jalandhar, February 10, 2026: DAV University, Jalandhar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Punjab Chapter, to establish an NIPM Student Chapter at the university. The collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia linkages and enhancing professional learning opportunities for students, particularly in the domain of Human Resource Management.
The MoU ceremony was held on the university campus in the presence of distinguished representatives from NIPM Punjab Chapter, including S. P. Bansal, Regional Vice President (North); Jasbir Singh, Vice Chairman (Punjab Chapter); Jorawar Singh, Honorary Treasurer; Ravinder Chadha, Honorary Secretary; and Vikas Puri, Executive Member (Punjab Chapter).
Through this partnership, the NIPM Student Chapter at DAV University will facilitate workshops, seminars, expert lectures, industry interactions, and professional networking opportunities, enabling students to gain practical insights and develop industry-relevant competencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof (Dr) Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of DAV University stated,
“This MoU reflects our commitment to experiential learning and meaningful industry collaboration. The establishment of the NIPM Student Chapter will provide our students with valuable exposure to professional practices and prepare them to meet evolving industry expectations.”
Prof (Dr) S K Arora, Registrar, DAV University, emphasized the institutional significance of the collaboration, saying, “Industry partnerships such as this are essential for holistic education. The association with NIPM will help our students develop leadership skills, professional ethics, and a strong understanding of real-world organizational dynamics.”
Highlighting the academic relevance of the initiative, Dr. Gitika Nagrath, Dean, CBME and Humanities, remarked, “The NIPM Student Chapter will serve as an excellent platform for our students to interact with industry experts, understand contemporary HR challenges, and bridge the gap between theory and practice.”
Representatives from NIPM Punjab Chapter expressed confidence that the collaboration would contribute to nurturing future-ready professionals and strengthening the HR ecosystem through student engagement and professional mentoring.
