DAV University, Jalandhar organized a Two-Day Talent Fiesta Spectrum 11.0 – Where Everyone Shines to provide a dynamic platform for students to exhibit their talent with full zeal and enthusiasm. Organised under the theme “Celebrating Diversity, Uniting Cultures,” the event witnessed huge participation from every stream of the university in competitions such as Poster Making, Cartooning, Rangoli Making, Collage Making, Painting, Still Life, Fashion Show, Dance, Singing, Skit, Mimicry, Nukkad Natak, Debate, Poetry Recitation, Heritage Quiz, Elocution and many more.

Jalandhar, November 29, 2025: DAV University, Jalandhar organized a Two-Day Talent Fiesta Spectrum 11.0 – Where Everyone Shines to provide a dynamic platform for students to exhibit their talent with full zeal and enthusiasm. Organised under the theme “Celebrating Diversity, Uniting Cultures,” the event witnessed huge participation from every stream of the university in competitions such as Poster Making, Cartooning, Rangoli Making, Collage Making, Painting, Still Life, Fashion Show, Dance, Singing, Skit, Mimicry, Nukkad Natak, Debate, Poetry Recitation, Heritage Quiz, Elocution and many more.
The event was graced by Manmeet Kalia, Zonal Manager; Kapil Trehan, Cluster Head; Raman Sharma, Branch Manager; and Y.K. Sood, leading Chartered Accountant in Jalandhar, President of Chartered Accountant Appellate Bar Tribunal, and Professor of Practice in the Department of CBME at DAV University. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, DAV University; Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Arora, Registrar; and IPS Rajan Gupta, Executive Director of DAV University, who was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, said, “In the present times, overall development of students is the need of the hour. Such events not only provide them exposure to the ever-evolving world but also inculcate the spirit of perseverance in this competitive era, besides offering an excellent platform to showcase and share their abilities.”
Sharing his remarks, Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Arora, Registrar, said, “Competitions like Spectrum help students polish their talents and build confidence. These platforms empower them to express themselves, collaborate and grow holistically.”
Speaking on the occasion, IPS Rajan Gupta, Executive Director, DAV University, said, “Spectrum reflects the vibrant student culture of DAV University. The enthusiasm, discipline and creativity displayed by the participants truly highlight the university’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.”
The chief guests appreciated the initiative and commended the university for encouraging young talent across diverse domains.
In the results of various competitions held during Spectrum 11.0, the literary events saw Preetkiran Kaur (B.Sc. Economics) and Naman Kumar (B.Tech CS & AI) secure the first and second positions in Elocution. In Poetry Recitation, Gopesh (B.Tech CSE) bagged the first prize, followed by Amit (BBA) and Sujal Kalra in second and third place respectively. In the Debate Competition, Naman Kumar (B.Tech CS & AI) stood first, while Gopesh (B.Tech CSE) finished second.
The Art Club events saw Amanpreet Kaur and Harshita (both BCA) winning first and second positions in Poster Making. In Cartooning, Isha (B.Tech CSE) secured first place, and Subhashini (B.Sc. B.Ed.) placed second. Ishita from M.A. Psychology excelled in the Collage Making Competition, clinching the top position.
In dramatic performances, the teams titled Sweety Art and How to Sit in Public Place won first and second positions in Skit. The Mimicry Competition was won by Mridul Pandey from the Department of Physical Education.
The Dance Club witnessed spirited performances, with Tanya (Physical Education) winning first place and Ridhi (B.Sc. Economics) securing second in Western Solo Dance. The team comprising Neha, Ashna, Samiksha, and Shruti won the Western Group Dance category. In Western Duet Dance, Samipta and Shobhna Kapoor (BCA) stood first and second.
In the Folk Dance categories, Sudhiksha (B.Sc. Food Science) won first place, Arshdeep Singh (BCA) stood second, and Harmandeep Singh (BBA) ranked third in Folk Solo Dance. Mohit and Harmeet secured first place in Folk Duet Dance, while the team of Jasmeen, Kiranjit Kaur, Abhishek, Prabhjot, Suhani, and Gokul won the Folk Group Dance Competition.
From the Art Club’s Rangoli event, the team of Sameeksha Rajpoot, Samridhi Banger, and Aqib (B.Tech CS & AI) secured first place. In Painting, Amanpreet Kaur and Sukhmanjit (both BCA) stood first and second. In the Still Life Competition, Jasmeet Kaur (M.A. Psychology) achieved first place, while Aqib (B.Tech CS & AI) secured second.
The Business Pitch Contest highlighted entrepreneurial skills, with the team of Robbin, Ashutosh, and Satyam winning first place. Varnika Sood (BBA), Naman Kumar (B.Tech CS & AI), and Amanpreet (B.Tech CSE) achieved first, second, and third positions respectively. The Heritage Quiz Competition was won by the team of Ramandeep Singh, Gaurang Aggarwal, and Ashwani Sidhu.
In musical events, Manmohan Singh secured first position in Solo Vocal, while Amit Randhawa and Baban Deep jointly secured second place, followed by Montek and Harmandeep Singh sharing third position. In Solo Instrumental, Vishavjeet Singh (B.Sc. Agriculture) stood first and Sanjay Chawala (MBA SAP) finished second. The Duet Singing Competition was won by Manmohan Singh and Amit Randhawa from BBA.
The Vice Chancellor congratulated all the winners and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur Sidhu, Dr. Hiteshwari Sabrol, Dr. Ranjodh Singh, Dr. Ridhi Kapoor, Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Bindia, and the entire organising team for the successful execution of the event.
