DAV University Organises Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program

DAV University, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, through MY Bharat, successfully organised the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program (VBYCP) in the university campus with the active participation of 150 students. The national initiative aims to empower the youth and connect them with the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.

DAV University Organises Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program

Jalandhar, December 15, 2025: DAV University, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, through MY Bharat, successfully organised the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program (VBYCP) in the university campus with the active participation of 150 students. The national initiative aims to empower the youth and connect them with the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Sh. Ankush Nijhawan from the Regional Directorate, who encouraged students to actively engage in nation-building activities through the MY Bharat platform. The event formally commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Samriti, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Deep Stuti.
As per the scheduled programme, dignitaries were felicitated with tokens of appreciation. A special presentation by the Youth Icon on MY Bharat highlighted India’s development journey and the transformational progress achieved over the past eleven years. This was followed by an engaging “Yuva Samvad” interactive session, where students shared their ideas, aspirations, and perspectives on building a developed India. 
Expressing his views on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, DAV University, stated, “The youth are the true architects of a developed and self-reliant India. Platforms like the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program inspire students to think beyond classrooms and contribute meaningfully to national development. DAV University is committed to nurturing responsible, aware, and socially driven citizens.”
Sharing his thoughts, Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Arora, Registrar, DAV University, remarked, “The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program provides a valuable interface between the government and the youth of the nation. Such initiatives strengthen civic responsibility, leadership, and volunteerism among students, which are vital for shaping the India of tomorrow.”
MY Bharat registration and awareness stalls were also set up on campus to encourage students to digitally onboard and become active contributors to national development initiatives.
Extending the vote of thanks, Dr Yeshbeer Singh said, “The enthusiastic participation of students in this programme reflects their commitment towards the vision of Viksit Bharat. We are grateful to MY Bharat and all the dignitaries for making this initiative a great success at DAV University.” This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, marking the successful completion of a meaningful and impactful youth-centric program.
