DANCE AND SELFIE FUN GRIPPED THE PEOPLE ON BAISAKHI

Dehradun: The city set on the tone of Baisakhi on Thursday with people celebrating the festival with ardent fervor. It was an enthusiastic day at the Pacific mall, located on Rajpur Road, with the entire mall decorated with the theme of the festival and special dance performances given by professionals.
The major attraction was a hut designed in the mall made of haystack and wood, beautifully decorated with kites, and few Dhols hanged to give picturesque feel. The hut had a selfie corner, which captured people’s interest and many took snaps with their friends and family.
The mall visitors also had an opportunity to wear Punjabi attires to pose for snaps or dance with the troop. Also many food joints were on the display serving assorted Punjabi delicacies, which were enjoyed by people of all ages. As the night advanced more and more people turned out to enjoy the festivities at the mall.
At a performance the people seated around the food zone joined the troop to everyone’s surprise and danced to many bollywood chartbuster tracks.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Abhishek Bansal, Executive Director, Pacific Group said, “The festival of Baisakhi welcomes New Year and so was our motive in celebrating the day with an array of events for our dear visitors”.
