CUPB Institution Innovation Council got 4-star rating in IIC (2020-21) Annual Performance Result announced by Ministry of Education

Bathinda, December 14, 2021: While strengthening its commitment to develop an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, the Institution Innovation Council of the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) achieved a new milestone by obtaining a four-star rating in the IIC 3.0 (2020-21) Annual Performance Result announced by Institution’s Innovation Council, MoE’s Innovation Cell and AICTE in the December first week.
In IIC 3.0, total 70 higher education institutions (HEIs) from across the country got the four-star rating in university category (the highest rating given in IIC 3.0 Annual Performance). CUPB is one of those 70 HEIs to accomplish this milestone for showcasing excellent performance in innovation activities in the year 2020–21. These ratings were given after consideration of various parameters such as the innovation-related activities organized by an HEI to promote entrepreneurship, IPR, and incubation along with student participation in national hackathons.
Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice Chancellor, dedicated this success to the untiring efforts of the CUPB IIC members. He stated that innovation and entrepreneurship are the key components to actualizing the vision of AtmaNirbhar Bharat and CUPB. IIC is committed to building an innovation ecosystem across different disciplines for innovators and budding entrepreneurs who will contribute to the nation building.
On this occasion Prof. R.K. Wusirika, Dean Incharge Academics, Prof. V.K. Garg, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Anjana Munshi, Dean Research, Shri Kanwalpal Singh Mundra, Registrar and university officials also congratulated CUPB IIC members for bringing laurels to the university.
Prof. Monisha Dhiman, President IIC and IQAC Director, thanked CUPB authorities and students for providing necessary support to make IIC Activities successful. She stated that this achievement has motivated the entire CUPB IIC team to organize a series of activities to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among students.
