College fests are among the most anticipated experiences in student life, bringing together creativity, collaboration, and vibrant energy. Bengaluru-based CMR Institute of Technology successfully hosted Cultura 2026, a grand celebration of music, art, culture, and technology.

Held over two days, on 27th and 28th March, at the CMRIT ITPL campus, the fest witnessed participation from over 5,000 students representing 100 colleges across the country. With more than 52 events spanning cultural performances, technical competitions, and creative showcases, Cultura 2026 highlighted student talent and innovation. Entirely student-driven, the festival provided a dynamic platform for young minds to express themselves, build confidence, and engage in meaningful exchange.

Cultura 2026 was inaugurated by Lakshita Thilagaraj, a final-year Computer Science and Engineering student at CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT), who was recently crowned Miss Grand Tamil Nadu 2026. The inauguration took place in the presence of Principal Dr. Sanjay Jain, Vice Principal Dr. B. Narasimha Murthy, along with other deans and directors of the institution.

The Tech Fest at Cultura 2026 showcased innovations in robotics, coding, circuit building, sustainability, and performing arts. The BGMI event drew participants from Jain College and Aditya College of Engineering. AI-based events like Cheat Code highlighted problem-solving skills, while art competitions displayed remarkable creativity. The fashion show featured 10 teams, with AM Jain College, Chennai, winning for their Italian-themed outfits.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by renowned actress Sindhu Mahesh and actor Bharath Sagar, who presented cash prizes and certificates to the winners. Their presence added charm to the occasion as they appreciated the participants’ talent and encouraged students to continue pursuing excellence in their respective fields.

Dr. K. C. Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), Former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and Chairman, CMR Group of Institutions and CMR University, delivered the Presidential Address as the Guest of Honour. He stated that CMRIT has consistently supported students in developing their innate talents and achieving success. He further inspired students to organize impactful activities that contribute to their overall development.
