CUHP conducts international seminar 

Dharamshala: Department of English, Central university of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), organised a One-Day International Seminar on “Transculturality in Contemporary Literatures of the World” on 26 February and a workshop on “Text and Context: Varied Interpretations of the Literatures of the World” in Dhauladhar Campus-I, in  Dharamshala, on 27 February. 

Prof Senath Walter Pereira from Peradeniya University, Sri Lanka, Prof Eric Chinje, George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, USA, Prof Daniel Kalinowski from Poland, Prof Adela Kalinowski from Poland and Ms. Collette Neh Chinje from the US deliberated upon the varied aspects of trasculturality and the relevance of text and context in the true interpretations of any work. Further an Invited Lecture on “Women's Rights: African-American Perspective” was delivered by Ms. Collette Neh Chinje.
Prof. Roshan Lal Sharma, Head, Department of English introduced the theme of the seminar and the workshop. While Dr. Khem Raj Sharma was the convenor of the seminar, Dr Hem Raj Bansal acted as the convenor of the workshop. The faculty members from nearby colleges and students and research scholars of the Department actively participated in the said events.
