CU Punjab E-YUVA Centre Hosts BioE3-Ideathon and Special Lecture on “Entrepreneurship: The Future of India”

The E-YUVA Centre, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council, Central University of Punjab, successfully organized an invited lecture, the BioE3-Ideathon Competition, and formally unveiled its CU Punjab’s E-YUIVA Centre official logo. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Satish Kumar, a noted national thinker and social worker. Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor of the university, graced the event with his benign presence.

Bathinda, August 5, 2025: The E-YUVA Centre, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council, Central University of Punjab, successfully organized an invited lecture, the BioE3-Ideathon Competition, and formally unveiled its CU Punjab’s E-YUIVA Centre official logo. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Satish Kumar, a noted national thinker and social worker. Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor of the university, graced the event with his benign presence.

 

Prof. Monisha Dhiman, Coordinator of the E-YUVA Centre, delivered the welcome address and briefed the audience on the Centre’s objectives, vision, and the importance of the BioE3-Ideathon initiative. This was followed by final presentations from the shortlisted participants of the Ideathon Competition. A panel of expert judges—Prof. Vinod Kumar, Dr. Preeti Khetarpal, and Dr. N. Babu—evaluated the ideas. Each presentation was followed by a Q&A session, allowing participants to elaborate on their concepts and receive valuable feedback.


In the second half of the event, Shri Satish Kumar delivered a thought-provoking lecture on "Entrepreneurship: The Future of India" (“उद्यमिता ही भारत का भविष्य”). Using relatable examples and real-life experiences, he articulated the true essence of entrepreneurship. He highlighted the vital role of youth in building a self-reliant India and shared five key mantras for becoming a successful entrepreneur, leaving a lasting impression on the young audience.

 

The official logo of the E-YUVA Centre was formally launched during the event. Winners of the logo design competition—Akanksha Singh, Ph.D. Scholar at CU Punjab, and Shivam Goyal from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, IIT Mandi—were awarded a shared cash prize of ₹5000 in recognition of their creativity and innovation.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, in his presidential address,  commended the E-YUVA Centre’s efforts in promoting innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students and researchers. He described the Ideathon as a visionary initiative aimed at identifying budding scientists and transforming them into future entrepreneurs through sustained mentoring and institutional support.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and invited guests, marking another significant milestone in the E-YUVA Centre’s ongoing mission to nurture a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
