CU Punjab Among Top 10 Central Universities in Outlook India Rankings for Fourth Year in a Row, obtained 9th Position in Outlook Rankings 2025
The Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab), under the visionary guidance of Uniono Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and dynamic leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, has secured the 9th position in the Outlook India Rankings 2025 under the category of ‘Top 20 Central Universities’.. This marks the fourth consecutive year that CU Punjab has been featured among the top 10 Central Universities in the country in Outlook India Rankings.

Bathinda, August 03, 2025: The Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab), under the visionary guidance of Uniono Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and dynamic leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, has secured the 9th position in the Outlook India Rankings 2025 under the category of ‘Top 20 Central Universities’.. This marks the fourth consecutive year that CU Punjab has been featured among the top 10 Central Universities in the country in Outlook India Rankings.
The rankings are based on five comprehensive parameters: Academic & Research Excellence, Industry Interface & Placement, Infrastructure & Facilities, Governance & Extension, and Diversity & Outreach. CU Punjab achieved an impressive overall score of 908.79 out of 1000, improving significantly from last year’s 866.18.
This sustained performance continues the university's upward trajectory. In previous editions, CU Punjab also secured the 9th position, with scores of 860.81 in 2022, 863.43 in 2023, and 866.18 in 2024, reflecting consistent year-on-year growth.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari congratulated the university fraternity on this achievement, calling it “a moment of immense pride.” He emphasized that CU Punjab stands out among the Central Universities established after 2009, consistently earning a place in the national rankings.
Prof. Tiwari attributed the university’s success to the commitment and collective efforts of its faculty members, research scholars, students, and non-teaching staff. He encouraged the academic community to continue its pursuit of excellence in education, research, and innovation.
The recognition reaffirms CU Punjab’s growing stature positioning it as a leading institution among the newer Central Universities in India.
