CTIEMT Clinches Overall Trophy at 15th Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Annual Athletics Meet 2026
The 15th Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Annual Athletics Meet 2026 concluded with grand success at the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus showcasing an extraordinary display of talent and sportsmanship from eleven constituent colleges. The participating institutions, including CTIEMT, CTIPS, CTIT, CTIMT, CTIAP, CTIHM, CTPC, CTCP, MK College, CTIHS, and CTIL, brought together a diverse group of student-athletes who competed with intense dedication. The atmosphere was charged with energy as the campus celebrated another year of this prestigious sporting tradition under the guidance of the senior leadership.
Jalandhar, February 18, 2026: The 15th Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Annual Athletics Meet 2026 concluded with grand success at the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus showcasing an extraordinary display of talent and sportsmanship from eleven constituent colleges. The participating institutions, including CTIEMT, CTIPS, CTIT, CTIMT, CTIAP, CTIHM, CTPC, CTCP, MK College, CTIHS, and CTIL, brought together a diverse group of student-athletes who competed with intense dedication. The atmosphere was charged with energy as the campus celebrated another year of this prestigious sporting tradition under the guidance of the senior leadership.
CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology (CTIEMT) emerged as the dominant force of the meet, clinching the Overall Champion trophy with a total of 50 points. Their consistent performance across various disciplines secured them the top spot on the podium. The CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTCP) also delivered a commendable performance, earning 28 points to finish as the Runner-up. The event officially commenced with a ceremonial torch relay led by Simranjeet Singh, a bronze medalist in cross-country from CTIEMT, followed by an oath-taking ceremony conducted by Vaibhav Aneja, a gold medalist in table tennis from the same institute.
Individual honors were highlighted by the exceptional feats of the best athletes of the meet. Ganesh from CTIMT was declared the Best Athlete in the men’s category after securing a gold medal in the 400-meter sprint and silver medals in both the 800-meter race and the 4x100-meter relay. In the women’s category, Saroj Devi from MK College stood out as the Best Athlete, achieving a remarkable triple gold victory in the Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus Throw, while also contributing to a bronze medal finish in the 4x100-meter relay.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Rakesh Kumar Damathia, DIGP, Group Centre CRPF, Jalandhar, who lauded the participants for their discipline and vigor. The event was further distinguished by the presence of Dr. Shiv Kumar, Campus Director, and Dr. Sangram Singh, Director of Academic Operations, who emphasized the importance of physical education in the academic curriculum. Also in attendance were Dr. Arjan Singh, Dean of the Department of Student Welfare, and Satpal, the Sports Head, who played a pivotal role in the seamless execution of the meet. International Athlete Harjit Singh also attended, serving as a major inspiration for the young competitors and reinforcing the institution’s commitment to holistic development through sports.
