CT University’s Department of Fashion Design, School of Design and Innovation, Bags second position in Glamour & Gloss

Ludhiana, April 27, 2023: CT Group of Institutions, South Campus organized an inter-college fashion show competition called Glamour & Gloss, witnessed a spectacular display of fashion and creativity by young designers and models from various colleges and universities. 9 Teams from different colleges of Punjab participated. The theme of the show was Indo-Western. Total 113 models and 105 designers showcased their workmanship on the ramp.

The teams were evaluated by a panel of three judges, Pankaj Thakur, Fashion Designer at the Studio CKC, Parul Verma, Designer at J'adore, and Neha Waraich Grover, Full Look Expert & Makeup artist. The teams were judged based on various parameters such as choreography, looks, attire, walk, etc. The Team Department of Fashion Design, School of Design and Innovation, CT University bagged the second Prize.


Students presented their indowestern Collection that was basically a sustainable collection developed using fabric and laces leftovers so that they can be prevented for Solid landfills. The base fabric was kept white Khadi silk having natural properties.

A team of 10 designers and 10 models from CT University participated and competed with 10 other teams and bagged 2nd prize in the competition.

Co-Chairperson of CT Group, Parminder Kaur Channi, Pro Chancellor CT University, Dr. Manbir Singh, Co-Managing Director, Tanika Channi, Campus Director, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Director of Research and Innovation, Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, Dy Director Division of Student Welfare, Dr. Arjan Singh, Principal of CTIHpM, Mahesh Khadwal, Controller of the Department of Fashion Designing, Renuka, Medha Kumari , COS , School of Design and Innovation along with other staff members were present.


Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor CT University, congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the participating teams for showcasing their fashion skills. He encouraged fashion design students to continue making beautiful designs under their academic performance.
