CT University organizes turban tying competition

Ludhiana, November 22, 2021: On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab, CT University’s School of Humanities and Physical Education organized a Turban Tying competition.

The winners remained Rakhtinder Singh, School of Engineering & Technology stood first; Ramandeep Singh, School of Law stood second and Gurvinder Singh, School of Management Studies stood third. From girls, Charanjit Kaur, School of Natural Sciences stood first.

Head of School of Humanities and Physical Education, Dr Pravin Kumar, said, “These days, more and more protagonists in Punjabi films tie turbans. It is gaining popularity in modeling also. Different styles of turbans included Patialashahi, Nikku-style, Vattan-wali pagg among others. Youths, especially, should take pride in wearing turbans. Participants were judged according to how well these looked in the competition.”
