School of Healthcare & Paramedical Sciences, CT University, Ludhiana organized a Free Mega Health checkup camp in collaboration with Oswal Hospital (Ludhiana), Sankara Eye Hospital (Ludhiana) and Public Labs (Jagraon).

Ludhiana, December 18, 2022: School of Healthcare & Paramedical Sciences, CT University, Ludhiana organized a Free Mega Health checkup camp in collaboration with Oswal Hospital (Ludhiana), Sankara Eye Hospital (Ludhiana) and Public Labs (Jagraon). A team of 8 expert doctors from various specialties including Cardiology, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Optometry and a General physician medically examined the local people for free. Dr. Gurkirat singh Sidhu (Cardiology) , Dr. Saqib Ahmad shah (Oncology) , Dr. Aseem Kapila (Orthopaedics) , Dr. Suhird Singh Dhaliwal (Homeopathy) , Dr. Vipin Gupta (Ayurveda), Dr. Nooruz Zaman (Sankara Eye Hospital) examined the patients. Along with this, the students of Department of Radiology performed X-ray of patients whereas the students of Physiotherapy helped the physiotherapy professionals in providing effective treatment to the patients. Facility of Complete Blood Count (CBC) was also provided to the people at a very minor cost which was performed by professionals from Public Labs, Jagraon and students of Department of Medical Laboratory Technology. Student volunteers also got hands on training on various tools and techniques from their respective fields instigating awareness and knowledge in them.

400+ people were assessed, advised and counselled. On completion of health check-up, each patient was given a report summary of the diagnosed problem along with the recommended medical test and medication. Dr. Satish Kumar Bansal, Vice Chancellor (OFF.) CT University; Sahil Kapoor, Director, Business Development and Marketing; Davinder Singh, Deputy Director, Department of Student Welfare honoured the doctors for their selfless service towards humanity. He acknowledged the efforts of the whole team and student volunteers of School of Healthcare & Paramedical Sciences for rendering moral and generous service towards humanity.

Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor, CT University encouraged the students to be health conscious to give the best of their energy in the right direction so that they can become better citizens and help the country in growing further and promised to undertake such initiatives in the future and contribute to the well-being of the community.
