CT University marks ‘World Optometry Day’

CT University in collaboration with Sankara Eye Hospital marked ‘World Optometry Day’ by organizing various activities.
Ludhiana, March 24, 2022: CT University in collaboration with Sankara Eye Hospital marked ‘World Optometry Day’ by organizing various activities. Different activities were conducted during the event organized by School of Health Care and Paramedical Sciences, CT University.

An expert talk on eye donation was held by Dr. Nooruz Zaman & his team including Dev Kalicheti, Mittapalli Priyanka, Sebin C Sebastian and Bhupesh Thakur. The students were made aware about the myths & facts about eye donation, roles of every individual towards eradicating blindness & burden of blindness.
Various activities were planned by the team such as walk in the darkness and blindfold activity. Based on these activities, importance of postomus eye donation was explained to the students and staff. During this the forms for eyes donation were also filled up.
On this occasion, Managing Director, CT University Dr. Manbir Singh and Vice- Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti motivated all to take a step forward to donate the eyes.  Dr. Manbir Singh said, “If there are eyes then there is world. Every beautiful thing in the world without eyes is darkness, so donating eyes to become the light of one’s life is great in itself”.
