Ludhiana, August 12, 2019: It was a touching moment for the Kashmiri students of CT University. They had expected to be celebrating Eid-ul-Adha alone this year, since they could not go to their families in the Valley due to the prevailing situation, but were in for a pleasant surprise. The invitation from Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for lunch at Punjab Bhavan made it an occasion to cherish, and to feel at home.

16 students from CT University experienced a taste of the love that the Chief Minister, along with several of his cabinet colleagues, decided to shower on them to mark their auspicious festival.

One of the Kashmiri students named Khushboo Akbar, of B.Tech Civil, Semester 6 said that Punjabi’s have a big heart and are always welcoming. We thank CTU authorities for sending us for this meeting.

Managing Director Manbir Singh said, “Though this meeting cannot replace their families yet I feel that this step by the Government is quite warm. We thank Punjab CM for taking this initiative.”
