CT University inks MoU with Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI)

Ludhiana: CT University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) and held 4th AHPI- North Zone Executive Council Meet & Expert Talk at its campus. During the event, the inaugural address was delivered by Joydeep Das Gupta, Secretary, AHPI-North Zone, Director, India Projects Operations, GIOSTAR.

Thereafter, to enlighten the students, an expert talk was held on various topics like "Challenges & Opportunities for Allied Healthcare Professionals Post Pandemic-Insight View” by Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani, Director General, AHPI, Former Secretary General, Quality Council of India, GOI. Then, a talk on “Patient Centred Approach- An Emerging Trend in Healthcare” was delivered by Dr. Amandeep Kaur, President, AHPI-North Zone Chapter, Medical Director, Amandeep Group of Hospitals, Amritsar. Thereafter, a talk on “Digital Transformation in Healthcare-Futuristic Approach” was shared by Dr. Naveen Chitkara, Executive Member, AHPI-North Zone Chapter, Medical Director, NASA & HUB Super speciality Hospital, Jalandhar.

Dr Gyani, while addressing the students, said, “The MoU with CTU is one of a kind for us, it shall be highly benefited for the students who aspire to be in medical field. Earlier, medical field was ‘simple’; only taking care but now it is complex to deliver care. Population at larger have become knowledgeable but are having little of it, so; health care has become an unsafe profession.”

Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, CTU said, “Now, COVID has become a ‘reality check’ and proved to be silver lining as now medical professionals are valued. Students must feel lucky as health care sector is now a priority of nation. By 2024, healthcare and social assistance shall grow by 20% in context of employment and this MoU will be quite fruitful for the students.”
