CT University Acknowledges Eco-Hero Farmers for Stubble-Free Practices

CT University recently hosted a special ceremony to honor local farmers who have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to environmental conservation by refraining from stubble burning. The ceremony, held in the university premises, was a momentous occasion to recognize and celebrate the exemplary efforts of farmers from nearby regions, including Village Swaddi, Village Gurehh, and Sidhwan Khurd.

Ludhiana, November 17, 2023: CT University recently hosted a special ceremony to honor local farmers who have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to environmental conservation by refraining from stubble burning. The ceremony, held in the university premises, was a momentous occasion to recognize and celebrate the exemplary efforts of farmers from nearby regions, including Village Swaddi, Village Gurehh, and Sidhwan Khurd.
 
The esteemed recipients of this recognition include Lal Singh, Sarpanch of Swaddi; Malwinder Singh, Sarpanch of Gurehh; and Parmjeet Singh, Sarpanch of Sidhwan Khurd. Additionally, individual farmers were acknowledged for their commendable contributions: Satinder Singh from Sidhwan Khurd, Jaswant Singh, Sarbjit Singh, and Narinderpal Singh from Village Gureh, and Mandeep Singh and Gurdeep Singh Kaka from Village Swaddi.
 
The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities, including the Chancellor of CT University, Charanjit Singh Channi; Pro Chancellor, Dr. Manbir Singh; and Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Director Admissions Gurwinder Singh, Deputy Director of the Department of Student Welfare Davinder Singh, also attended the event. The ceremony served as a heartfelt acknowledgment of the farmers' crucial role in supporting environmental causes and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
 
Adding a poignant touch to the ceremony, one of the honored farmers shared, "As farmers, we understand the impact of our actions on the environment. Choosing not to burn stubble is a small step, but collectively, it makes a significant difference.
