CTIHM students perform cultural dance forms of various states

Jalandhar, October 22, 2019: CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) organized United India Fest to celebrate the festive season and spread the message of oneness. This fest was organized to showcase the unity and oneness among various states.

In this fest, students of CTIHM showcased 9 different states namely Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Gujarat, Assam, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Orissa and Goa and performed various dance performances at CT Shahpur campus

At one venue of the fest students enjoyed typical dances and songs of different states; whereas, on other they relished Indian regional cuisine. Special exhibitions included monuments, archaeological objects, architectural designs, wildlife, landscapes, geological supremacies, antique acquirements, cultural and allied art and other dominances of different states of India. Displays about popular women leaders, patriots, saints, sports-women and their world renowned ideologies added luster to the celebration.

Students from Karnataka presented a special form of dance popularly known as Veeragase; Gujarati students presented Somnath temple, Akshar Dham temple and statue of unity whereas students from Orissa presented Jaganath Rath Yatra; Assamese students presented Kamakshi Devi temple, Rang Mahal and Kanziranga National Park etc.

Awarding the participating students of CTIHM, Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group said, “This fest teaches us emphatically what oneness, friendship, peaceful existence and bonds of togetherness are to exist peacefully in this world. This all can be well understood by working closely and together. I am happy to note that faculty members and students worked together day and night to present the diverse and enriched culture of different states of India.”

CT Group Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi, Tanika Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Dean Academics Dr. Anupamdeep Sharma and Dr Bharat Kapoor, Director CTIHM were also present.
