CT Public School Cadets Scale New Heights of Excellence at 1 PB Air Sqn NCC Annual Training Camp

Jalandhar, May 1, 2026: In a powerful display of youth leadership and national spirit, CT Public School, in collaboration with 1 PB Air Sqn NCC, Jalandhar, recently concluded the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC–36). This comprehensive training program brought together over four hundred cadets from the Junior and Senior Divisions, providing them with a transformative platform to hone their discipline, physical endurance, and character. The camp opened with a stirring address by Camp Commandant Group Captain Manish Kumar, who challenged the participants to embrace the core NCC values of teamwork and service, setting a high standard for the rigorous days of training that followed.
Throughout the duration of the camp, the cadets were immersed in a demanding schedule that seamlessly blended traditional military training with modern technological skills. Beyond the standard drill practices and weapon handling sessions, the curriculum expanded to include contemporary defense components such as drone piloting and aeromodelling workshops. These forward-thinking sessions ensured that the cadets were not only physically fit but also technologically proficient. Specialized coaching was also provided to senior cadets preparing for the prestigious All India Vayu Sainik Camp, underscoring the camp’s commitment to high-level competitive excellence.
The training experience was further enriched by vital life-skills sessions, most notably a disaster management program conducted by experts from the National Disaster Response Force. This hands-on training equipped cadets with essential emergency response techniques, while simultaneous workshops on health and hygiene ensured their holistic well-being. The atmosphere of the camp was further elevated by motivational interactions with Indian Air Force officers, who shared real-life stories of courage and discipline. The high standards of the camp were officially recognized during a visit by Brigadier A.K. Bharadwaj, Group Commander NCC Jalandhar, who commended the administrative efficiency and the spirited dedication of the young participants.
The event reached a triumphant conclusion with a grand cultural evening and a prestigious prize distribution ceremony. The cadets of CT Public School, under the expert guidance of CTO Vivek Singh, emerged as top performers by securing first-place victories in both the Tug of War and Basketball championships, with the latter involving a hard-fought victory against St. Joseph School. These accolades, combined with a strong showing in the drill competition, highlighted the school’s commitment to excellence. Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director of CT Group, along with Joint Managing Director Tanika Channi and Principal Manisha Basnet, expressed their immense pride in the cadets’ achievements, noting that the camp successfully reaffirmed the NCC’s mission of shaping responsible, capable, and patriotic citizens for the nation.
