The Mechanical Engineering students won first prize in InoTech 2017.
Jalandhar, May 12, 2017: Memorize that astonishing scene in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" where Tom Cruise is scaling Dubai's Burj Khalifa using those crazy futuristic gloves that stick to walls? Confident you do as it was awesome. Apologies for those who haven't seen it but now you have an opportunity to get that feel yourself with the Spiderman Suit invented by the students of CT Polytechnic College.
The suit which is also called as Wall Climber suit designed to use for Security purposes where stairs and crane cannot be used.
The students of Mechanical Engineering VIth semester- Arshdeep Singh, Avtar Singh, Gurjinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Yogesh and Sukhdeep Singh invented the project. The suit was designed by using Vacuum which helps to generate pressure of 2400 mm in just three seconds and can lift the person weighing upto 100Kgs. In the suit, Gloves, Section Pads and Foot matchers besides Vacuum Pump motors that can be used with 230 Volt Electricity and the whole project costs around Rs. 20,000. Mr. Arshdeep Singh said the Spiderman suit can be used for safety and security purposes as well.
Er. Gautam Kocher (Principal, CT Institute of Technology) appreciated the invention of their students for this wonderful project. He informed that the students have won the first place in IcoTech 2017 competition organised by IKG PTU and Pushpa Gujral Science City.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the students and said, “India is growing and technologically developing because of our youngsters. A big salute of excellence goes out to our engineering students for getting us one step closer to the dream of becoming superheroes!.”
