Jalandhar, September 29, 2026: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, celebrated World Heart Day with enthusiasm to promote awareness about heart health, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices. The event was organised by the Departments of Medical Lab Sciences and Biotechnology.
The programme featured informative guest lectures by Dr. Manupriya and Dr. Yusuf, who shared their valuable insights and experience in cardiac research and patient care, helping students understand the importance of heart health and preventive measures.
Students actively participated in a scientific herbal rangoli competition, 3D model and poster presentations, healthy food competition, and the “Letter to My Heart” activity, where they expressed meaningful messages and personal commitments towards maintaining a healthy heart. The celebration concluded with an awareness rally led by the students, spreading the message of cardiovascular health across the campus.
Vice Chairman, CT Group, Harpreet Singh, appreciated the initiative and said, “Heart health is not merely a medical concern; it is a responsibility that begins with awareness and everyday choices. Initiatives like these empower our students to understand the importance of prevention and inspire them to carry the message of healthy living beyond the campus.”
Director Campus, Dr. Jayaashish Sethi, said, “World Heart Day provides an opportunity to transform health awareness into meaningful action. The enthusiastic participation of our students reflects their growing understanding of preventive healthcare and their willingness to become ambassadors of healthier lifestyles in society.”
The event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Principal, and Dr. Diksha Bhatt, HOD, Departments of Medical Lab Sciences and Biotechnology, whose support and encouragement contributed to the successful celebration.
The celebration beautifully brought together health awareness, scientific learning, creativity, and student participation, making World Heart Day a meaningful and engaging initiative at CT Group’s Shahpur Campus.
