CT Group of Institutions Celebrates Teej 2026 with Traditional Fervour and Festive Spirit

Jalandhar, August 27, 2026: CT Group of Institutions celebrated Teej 2026 with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour across its Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses, bringing together students, faculty and staff in a vibrant celebration of Punjabi culture, heritage and togetherness.

Teej is a cherished Punjabi festival that celebrates the arrival of the monsoon and is traditionally associated with women, swings, folk songs, Giddha, Boliyaan, vibrant attire and community celebrations. Beyond its festive charm, Teej represents cultural continuity, sisterhood, joy and the preservation of traditional customs, making it a meaningful occasion for the younger generation to connect with their roots.

The campuses came alive with the colours and sounds of Punjab as students, faculty and staff dressed in beautiful traditional and cultural attire and participated in a host of festive activities. The celebrations beautifully reflected the spirit of Teej through Giddha, folk dances, cultural theatre, traditional performances, Boliyaan and soulful Punjabi folk songs.

Adding a special musical touch to the celebrations, the CT Musical Society enthralled the gathering with melodious renditions of traditional Punjabi folk songs and Boliyaan, creating an atmosphere filled with energy and nostalgia. The cultural theatre and folk performances further showcased the richness of Punjabi traditions and gave the celebrations a distinctly festive character.

A major highlight of the celebrations was the special Malwai Giddha performance, which left students, faculty and staff spellbound. The energetic and graceful performance beautifully captured the essence of Punjab's folk heritage and received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.

At the Maqsudan Campus, the celebrations were organised in two sessions. The morning session was dedicated to students, who participated enthusiastically in Rangoli, Nail Art, Hair Styling, Mehndi, Paranda Tying, Cultural Activities, Ramp Walk, Open DJ and other engaging activities. The much-awaited Miss Teej Competition gave students an opportunity to showcase their confidence, grace, creativity and knowledge of Punjabi culture.

The afternoon session was specially organised for the faculty members of CT Public School and CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan. Faculty members participated in the festivities with equal enthusiasm, embracing the traditional spirit of Teej through music, cultural activities, traditional attire and fun-filled moments. The celebration provided an opportunity for the women faculty and staff to come together and celebrate the occasion in the true spirit of Teej.

The celebrations were graced by Parveen Abrol as the esteemed guest. Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi, Joint Managing Director Tanika, and Chairperson Advocate Manjinder Kaur also graced the occasion and encouraged the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, the management appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty and staff and highlighted the importance of celebrating traditional festivals as a way of keeping Punjab's rich cultural heritage alive among the younger generation.

The Teej celebrations across CT Group served as a vibrant reflection of Punjab's living traditions, bringing the entire CT family together through music, dance, cultural expression and shared celebration.
