Jalandhar, June 6, 2026: CT Public School and CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan observed World Environment Day through a series of impactful initiatives aimed at promoting environmental awareness, cleanliness, conservation, and sustainable living among students and staff. Through activities focused on experiential learning, environmental responsibility, and ecological conservation, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment towards creating a greener and more sustainable future.

At CT Public School, students enthusiastically participated in the experiential activity “Mission Green Earth: Eco-Treasure Hunt” under the guidance of Principal Manisha Basnet. The initiative was designed to develop environmental consciousness through hands-on learning while enhancing observation, critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Students, divided into teams named Earth, Water, Air, Forest, Wildlife, and Energy, completed clue-based challenges across eco-themed stations including the Biodiversity Corner, Water Conservation Area, Computer Lab, and Waste Management Zone. The activity culminated with team presentations and evaluations based on accuracy, teamwork, and task completion, with Team Energy emerging as the overall winner.

Further strengthening the message of environmental responsibility, CT Public School also organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Drive. Students actively participated in cleanliness and awareness activities emphasizing the importance of waste reduction, cleanliness, and sustainable living. Through their enthusiastic involvement, the young learners highlighted that cleanliness is not merely a habit but a way of life that contributes to a healthier and greener future. The initiative encouraged the entire school community to adopt eco-friendly practices and work collectively towards environmental protection.

Meanwhile, CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan organized a Tree Plantation Drive across the campus to promote ecological conservation and increase green cover. Saplings of various species were planted, highlighting the vital role of trees in maintaining environmental balance, improving air quality, and combating climate change.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anurag Sharma, Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan, stated that environmental conservation is a shared responsibility and that small collective actions can create a significant impact. He emphasized that tree plantation initiatives not only enhance biodiversity but also inspire future generations to adopt sustainable practices and contribute to a healthier planet.

Manisha Basnet, Principal, CT Public School, remarked that nurturing environmental awareness from a young age is essential for developing responsible and conscious citizens.
