Jalandhar, November 07, 2025: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, in association with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, proudly hosted Punjab’s first-ever Safe & Legal Mobility Awareness Outreach Programme. The initiative aimed to educate and empower students and youth about safe and legal pathways for overseas employment, ensuring informed and responsible migration practices.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Surinder Bhagat, Protector General of Emigrants & Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs; Yashu Deep Singh, Protector of Emigrants, Chandigarh, Ministry of External Affairs; Yashpal, Regional Passport Officer, Jalandhar; Amaninder Kaur Brar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar; Sarabjit Rai, Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar; and Rajesh Bali, Assistant Director, Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Jalandhar.

From CT Group, Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, and Dr. Shic Kumar, Campus Director, extended a warm welcome to the guests and lauded the Ministry’s efforts for initiating this significant awareness drive in Punjab.

During the event, experts and officials enlightened students on the importance of ethical migration, identification of fraudulent agencies, and the legal frameworks governing overseas employment. The sessions focused on empowering the youth with practical knowledge to pursue global career opportunities safely and responsibly.

Dr. Manbir Singh emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in guiding the next generation toward informed global mobility. He added that CT Group is proud to be the first educational institution in Punjab to host this impactful national outreach programme, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to student welfare and holistic development.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing students to engage directly with ministry officials and gain first-hand insights into the processes and precautions necessary for working abroad.
