CT Group Hosts Pharmacovigilance Leadership Symposium 2026 on Future of Drug Safety
CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, successfully hosted the Pharmacovigilance Leadership Symposium 2026 at the Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium. The symposium, themed “Future of Drug Safety: Industry Practices, Regulations, Innovations & Career Pathways,” brought together leading experts from academia and industry to deliberate on emerging trends and best practices in pharmacovigilance and drug safety.
Jalandhar, April 9, 2026: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, successfully hosted the Pharmacovigilance Leadership Symposium 2026 at the Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium. The symposium, themed “Future of Drug Safety: Industry Practices, Regulations, Innovations & Career Pathways,” brought together leading experts from academia and industry to deliberate on emerging trends and best practices in pharmacovigilance and drug safety.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1000 attendees, including more than 100 poster presenters and 50 external delegates, creating a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing, academic interaction, and professional networking.
The symposium featured insightful sessions by distinguished speakers from premier institutions and leading pharmaceutical organizations. The speakers included Dr. Pramil Tiwari, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, NIPER SAS Nagar (Mohali); Dr. Nitish Goel, PV Head at Freyr Solutions, Chandigarh; Dr. Himanshu Bhatnagar, Medical Safety Director at Parexel International, Chandigarh; Sunil Verma, Director at Harom India Pvt. Ltd., Mohali; Camy Goyal, Safety Aggregate Report Manager at IQVIA, Bangalore; and Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Associate Director Projects at Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chandigarh.
The symposium focused on evolving pharmacovigilance frameworks, regulatory advancements, industry practices, and career pathways for aspiring professionals in the field of drug safety.
The event was graced by key dignitaries from CT Group including Prof (Dr) Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group, Dr. Shiv Kumar, Campus Director, and Dr. Sangram Singh, Director Academic Operations, who appreciated the initiative for fostering dialogue between academia and the pharmaceutical industry.
Addressing the gathering, Prof (Dr) Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group, said that pharmacovigilance plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and strengthening public trust in healthcare systems. He emphasized that platforms like the Pharmacovigilance Leadership Symposium help students and professionals understand the dynamic landscape of drug safety while encouraging research, innovation, and responsible practices in the pharmaceutical sector.
A major highlight of the event was the Poster Competition, which received more than 100 entries across three categories, showcasing innovative research and analytical perspectives from participants.
In the category Real World Pharmacovigilance, Chahat secured the first position, followed by Dolly in second place and Lipsa in third.
In the category Clinical Research Based Case Studies, Abhishek Giri won the first position, while Sarita secured the second position and Deepika stood third.
In the category Drug Discovery and Development, Partha secured the first position, followed by Gurjot in second place and Tamanpreet Kaur in third.
The symposium concluded with a note of appreciation for all speakers, participants, faculty members, and organizers who contributed to making the event a significant academic and professional success, reaffirming CT Group’s commitment to promoting research-driven learning and industry engagement in healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences.
