Jalandhar, April 15, 2026: In a powerful display of participatory democracy, the CT Group of Institutions served as the venue for a high-stakes "Voluntary Meeting" presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP Punjab Convener Manish Sisodia. The session marked a significant departure from traditional political rallies, focusing instead on a deep-dive administrative audit where over 400 specific issues and public grievances were presented directly to the state’s top leadership for immediate resolution.
The summit brought together a formidable assembly of the state’s political and administrative machinery. Joining the Chief Minister were Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, MLA Kartarpur Balkar Singh, State General Secretary Deepak Bali and MLA Nakodar Inderjeet Kaur Maan. The administrative perspective was represented by Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia (IAS) and Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur (IPS), ensuring that the 400 issues raised—ranging from infrastructure and local security to social welfare—received both political commitment and bureaucratic oversight.
A vital component of the meeting was the heavy involvement of the Aam Aadmi Party’s organizational backbone. Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Halka Incharge for Jalandhar Cantt, played a pivotal role alongside Halka Incharge Adampur Pawan Kumar Tinu and Halka Incharge Jalandhar Central Nitin Kohli. The discussions were further enriched by the participation of Amritpal, District President and Chairman of the Planning Board, Jalandhar, and Chandan Grewal, Chairman of the Safai Karamchari Ayog.
The grassroots nature of the "Voluntary Meeting" was underscored by the presence of block-level organisation incharges, youth coordinators, and dedicated leaders from the Women and SC wings. These coordinators acted as the primary voice for the people, systematically presenting the 400 issues that reflect the daily challenges and aspirations of the region. The Chief Minister took extensive notes, engaging in direct dialogue with the block leaders to ensure that the solutions implemented are as local and effective as the problems identified.
The management of CT Group, including Chairman S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Managing Director Dr. Manbir Singh, and Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, expressed their honor in hosting such a critical milestone for Punjab's governance. By facilitating this bridge between the public, the party workers, and the executive leadership, the event reinforced a collective commitment to transparent and responsive administration in Jalandhar.
