CT Group Hosts ‘Humare Ram’ at Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, Leaves Jalandhar’s Audience Spellbound

Jalandhar, August 28, 2026: The Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, transformed into a spectacular world of Ayodhya, forests and Lanka as CT Group hosted the first show of the acclaimed theatrical production ‘Humare Ram’ on Friday. Combining powerful live performances with immersive visuals, music, sound and lighting, the production offered the packed auditorium an experience that went far beyond conventional theatre.
Presented by the Punjab Government as part of its efforts to take the message and philosophy of Lord Shri Ram to every household and strengthen the values of Sanatan Dharma, ‘Humare Ram’ brought the timeless epic to life through a production of extraordinary scale and grandeur.
The spectacle featured a massive LED screen spanning more than 1,300 square feet, transforming with every sequence—from the majestic Raj Darbar of Lord Shri Ram and the forests to the powerful Ravan temple sequence and the deeply moving moment of Mata Sita returning to her mother Dharti. Every scene unfolded as a visual experience, making the audience feel immersed in the world of the Ramayana.
The sound-and-light production team travelled from Gujarat and spent three days preparing the stage, meticulously synchronising the elaborate set-up, lighting, visuals and sound to create a seamless theatrical experience.
At the heart of the spectacle was celebrated actor Ashutosh Rana, whose commanding portrayal of Ravan captivated the audience. His powerful voice, intense expressions and extraordinary stage presence brought an unparalleled depth to the character, once again demonstrating his mastery of live performance.
Rahull R Bhuchar as Prabhu Shree Ram, Danish Akhtar as Lord Hanuman, Tarun Khanna as Lord Shiva, Amrita Parihar as Mata Sita and Karan Sharma as Surya Deva further enriched the stellar ensemble.
The production was complemented by an evocative original soundtrack featuring contributions from celebrated artists including Ashutosh Rana, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher, adding another layer of emotion and grandeur to the performance.
‘Humare Ram’ has already captivated audiences across India, completing more than 200 performances in over 20 cities and reaching an audience of more than five lakh people. The production has also been staged at prestigious venues including the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Siri Fort Auditorium, Kamani Auditorium, Jamshed Bhabha Theatre and NCPA.
Following its successful shows in Mohali and Bathinda, the Jalandhar presentation brought the production’s larger-than-life theatrical experience to CT Shahpur, creating a spectacular first show that seamlessly blended mythology, technology and live performance.
Punjab Cabinet Minister for Defence Services Welfare, Freedom Fighters and Horticulture, Mohinder Bhagat, attended the first show as the special guest and witnessed the play along with the audience.
Interacting with the audience, Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, respects all religions and is making sincere efforts to inspire the people of Punjab, particularly the youth, through spectacular theatrical productions based on the life and teachings of Lord Shri Ram.
The Minister informed that the shows are being organised free of cost by the Punjab Government so that people from every section of society can experience the production and draw inspiration from the teachings of Lord Shri Ram. He appealed to people to attend the remaining shows in large numbers.
The occasion was also attended by Vice Chairman of the Gau Sewa Commission Keemti Bhagat, Additional Deputy Commissioner Amarjit Bains, SDM Shubhi Angra, Vice Chairman CT Group Harpreet Singh and other prominent personalities.
Following the overwhelming response to the first show, two more performances of ‘Humare Ram’ will be staged at the Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, on August 29 at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
For the audience at CT Shahpur, the first show was more than a theatrical performance—it was a spectacular experience where the stage became Ayodhya, technology became mythology, and the timeless story of Lord Shri Ram came alive before their eyes.
‘Humare Ram’ did not simply tell the Ramayana. It made the audience experience.
