CT Group Honours Changemakers at Excellence Awards 2026
CT Group of Institutions organised the 4th edition of the Excellence Awards, a distinguished ceremony dedicated to recognising individuals who have gone beyond professional excellence to create meaningful impact across society. The awards celebrate achievements in humanitarian service, industry leadership, international sports, ethical journalism, social reform, women empowerment, innovation, and nation-building.
Jalandhar, January 20, 2026: CT Group of Institutions organised the 4th edition of the Excellence Awards, a distinguished ceremony dedicated to recognising individuals who have gone beyond professional excellence to create meaningful impact across society. The awards celebrate achievements in humanitarian service, industry leadership, international sports, ethical journalism, social reform, women empowerment, innovation, and nation-building.
The ceremony was graced by Padma Shri Awardee Harbhajan Singh, legendary Indian cricketer, commentator, and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Harbhajan Singh appreciated CT Group for honouring real changemakers and stated that recognising courage, discipline, and integrity is essential for shaping a progressive and responsible nation.
The Excellence Awards honoured inspiring personalities whose journeys reflect resilience, purpose, and leadership. The first set of awardees included Jagwinder Singh, International Foot Artist, National Para Cyclist, Para Taekwondo Player and Motivational Speaker; Bibi Rajinder Kaur and Shamsher Singh, Founders of Prabh Aasra, recognised for their exceptional humanitarian service; Sukhdev Singh Khinda, Managing Director, AGI Infra Ltd., Jalandhar, for his contribution to infrastructure and industry; Sudershan Sharma, Managing Director, HR International, for leadership excellence; and Simranjot Singh Makkar, Journalist, recognised for ethical and courageous reporting.
The honours were further conferred upon Priyanka Thakur, International Boxer and Kickboxer and an undefeated Punjab State Champion for 14 years; Gauravdeep Singh, Founder of Initiators of Change; Gaggun Bedi, Pride of Punjab, Dance King of India and Fashion Icon; Sarangthem Nirupama Devi, Miss Universe Manipur 2025; and Komal, International Powerlifter and World Record Holder (Deadlift).
The award ceremony also recognised Harpal Kaur Dhanjal, popularly known as The Welder Girl, for redefining women empowerment in skilled trades; Amrinder Singh Dhiman, Managing Director, Dhiman Industries; Ashwani Victor, Director, Victor Forgings; Professor Ajay Bansal, Registrar, NIT Jalandhar; Manmeet K Arora, Principal Architect and Founder of THE ARCH; Dr. Charnjit Singh Pruthi, Chairman, Capitol Hospital; and Charuvrat Bains, International Olympiad Medalist (IESO).
The event was further dignified by the presence of Special Guests including Lal Kumar Vishwas, SDM Nakodar; Raj Kumar Sharma, noted cricket coach and father of international cricketer Abhishek Sharma; and Yuvraj Singh, Assistant Defence Counsel, District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar.
The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of CT Group leadership including S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group; Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director; Parminder Kaur, Co-Chairperson; Tanika Channi, Joint Managing Director; Dr. Nitin Tandon, Executive Director; and Dr. Shiv Kumar, Director Campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman S. Charanjit Singh Channi stated that the Excellence Awards represent CT Group’s belief in recognising individuals who lead with purpose and contribute meaningfully beyond their professions. He added that such platforms inspire youth to pursue excellence with integrity and social responsibility.
