CT Group Concludes Five-Day Mega Induction Programme Aarambh 2026, Welcomes Over 5,000 Freshers

Jalandhar, August 8, 2026: CT Group of Institutions successfully concluded its five-day mega induction programme, Aarambh 2026, welcoming over 5,000 freshers across its Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses. Designed as a vibrant introduction to college life, the programme brought together entertainment, industry exposure, career guidance, innovation, leadership interactions, cultural activities, and student engagement, with a strong focus on the holistic development of students.
The five-day programme offered students a dynamic blend of learning and entertainment, featuring performances by renowned singers and live bands, interactions with movie star casts, cultural showcases, workshops, motivational sessions, and hands-on experiences. Students were also introduced to the institution's academic framework, rules and regulations, placement support, career opportunities, clubs, societies, cultural activities, student welfare initiatives, and opportunities for overall personality development.
The programme also featured expert-led sessions and workshops by organisations and industry experts including Red Rob AI, Adobe and NASSCOM. A special NSS awareness session sensitised students towards social responsibility and community engagement. One of the major highlights was the rocket modelling workshop and live rocket launch, which provided students with an exciting hands-on experience in science, technology and innovation.
A strong focus on career readiness marked the third day of Aarambh 2026. An interactive session on “IBM – Academic Roadmap: Building a Future-Ready Career” was conducted by Mr Raghuveer Sain, Full Stack Developer, IBM, who highlighted the importance of industry-relevant skills, emerging technologies and strategic academic planning. Students also interacted with Mr Ankit Sinha, Lead North – Government and Academic Relations, SSC NASSCOM, and Ms Priyanka Bisht, Deputy Director, SSC NASSCOM, who shared insights on employability, continuous learning, skill development and evolving industry expectations.
The fourth day focused on inspiration, leadership and student engagement. An insightful interaction by Prof (Dr) Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group, encouraged students to remain focused on their goals, develop the right attitude and make meaningful use of their college years. Students also participated in an engaging Q&A session with S. Charanjit Singh, Chairman, CT Group, providing them an opportunity to interact directly with the institution's leadership. The day was further enriched by cultural and musical performances, including a showcase by the CT Maqsudan Musical Society.
The final day brought Aarambh 2026 to a grand conclusion with a live musical performance by Francis on, followed by an energetic Open DJ session. Students came together to sing, dance and celebrate the successful completion of their first major campus experience, creating a memorable finale to the five-day celebration.
Throughout the programme, students were guided by Director Campus (Shahpur) Dr Jayashish Sethi, Director Campus (Maqsudan) Dr Anurag Sharma, Director Academic Operations Dr Sangram Singh, Director Corporate Relations Dr Nittan Arora, and Dean Student Welfare Dr Arjan Singh, who oriented students about their respective domains and encouraged them to actively participate in academic, professional, cultural and extracurricular opportunities.
The cultural vibrancy of CT Group was also showcased through performances by its Bhangra, Giddha, Theatre, Literary and Musical Societies, giving freshers an opportunity to experience the institution's diverse campus culture and discover their own talents.
