Crompton launches its new Energion range of ceiling fans powered by ActivBDLC Technology

Mumbai: India’s market leader in ceiling fans - Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. today announced that it has added one more fan range to its product portfolio with the launch of the new advanced range of ceiling fans – Energion powered by the ActivBDLC Technology, through which one can save up to 50% in their electricity bill. Because it consumes around 35 watts of electricity instead of 70 watts as consumed by standard ceiling fans, Energion provides a voltage difference that leads to superior energy savings and super-efficient performance in comparison to regular fans.

India being a tropical country faces scorching summers and extreme conditions especially when the temperature rises. During this heat, a fan, which is one of the most commonly used products in an Indian household, generally runs almost 24x7. Hence, the number of hours of usage combined with the number of fans in a household contributes significantly to the electricity bill.
Built keeping energy conservation in mind along with the expected change and implementation of norms, Crompton has launched its brand-new BLDC range of fans called Energion that will not only reduce power consumption but will also lead to maximizing electricity cost saving.

Speaking about its latest innovation, Mr. Rangarajan Sriram, Vice President, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd said, said, “The advancement in technologies and growth of trends in the category is what we have consistently observed throughout the years. Today, with climate change and environmental impact being some of our biggest concerns, it is essential for us, as an organization, to create solutions that will help consumers make more informed choices and switch to energy efficient appliances without having to compromise on comfort.  With this new launch, we hope to help consumers save both costs and electricity in their homes which will in turn enable them to enjoy a stress-free summer.”
