Chandigarh Region Innovation & Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC) Panjab University, initiated an event Shodh samwad which provide initiative for collaborations and fostering partnerships among various research groups of CRIKC institutes.

Chandigarh, November 20, 2022: Chandigarh Region Innovation & Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC) Panjab University, initiated an event Shodh samwad which provide initiative for collaborations and fostering partnerships among various research groups of CRIKC institutes. It is a platform to encourage young budding scientist to show case their research to general society as a whole. First time this event was held outside PU campus at Dr. BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences (Aims) Mohali on the theme “Artificial intelligence in Medical Sciences”. 

Coordinator CRIKC Professor Verma  apprised everyone about the upcoming S&T Cluster in this region  and will  play a pivotal role.

Then the event started with  lecture by Prof. Divya Bansal CS & Dean at PEC who explained the basics and applications of AI followed by motivational lecture on Assistive technology and AI by Dr Ravinder Singh, Senior Scientist at ICMR, New Delhi. Then the stage was taken over by young budding scientist from research groups of PGIMER and Panjab University who showcased their research work and gave future ideas about applications of AI in healthcare and Practical healthcare applications. The session included discussions about the role of AI in our daily lives to its potential applications in cancer research, radiological advancements in diagnosis of tumours and exoskeleton assistive technologies. The event ended  where the panellists addressed the quires of MBBS students and future aspects of AI in Medical science
