Rohtak, April 5, 2026: The creativity of students from the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, garnered immense applause at 'Aksharam'—a three-day literary festival held at GJU, Hisar. Participating as the 'Creative Partner' of ‘Aksharam’, a delegation comprising SUPVA students, faculty members, and staff took part in the event under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya. The live demonstrations of various art forms—including painting, sculpture, and pottery—presented by SUPVA students received widespread appreciation.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya shared his insightful views during a seminar organized on the topic: "Haryana's Contribution to Literature and Journalism."

Throughout the ‘Aksharam’ festival, SUPVA students showcased their talents across various platforms. Students from the Department of Film and Television presented Nukkad Nataks and demonstrations of physical movement and expression. A group of 15 FTV students performed a street play focused on drug de-addiction, effectively highlighting the adverse effects of substance abuse as well as the societal harm caused by addiction.

The artistic prowess of the Visual Arts students left both the guests and the residents of Hisar spellbound. A painting of Goddess Saraswati—the deity of knowledge—created by Lakshita Jangra, a second-year student of the Painting program, was so captivatingly beautiful that it compelled a local family from Hisar to purchase it.

Departments falling under SUPVA's Faculty of Design, Faculty of Visual Arts, Faculty of Film and Television, and Faculty of Architecture exhibited a diverse range of works, including sculptures, paintings, and architectural models, furniture created through product design, lifestyle accessories, and footwear designs. Posters were displayed to provide information regarding the national and international award-winning films produced by FTV students.

Additionally, an exhibition featuring artworks created by students of the Animation Department was organized. Posters related to advertising, addressing various social themes such as 'Save the Daughter' and ‘Environmental Protection’ were also displayed. Additionally, artistic works crafted from terracotta and ceramics were showcased in the exhibition as well.
