Rohtak, September 2, 2026: The digital era has opened up new career avenues for students in media, film production, animation, gaming and digital content, said Dr Kitty Mukherjee, Director, Campus Placements, RV University, Bengaluru.
Addressing an interactive session on ‘Career Horizons: Careers in Media, Film Production, Animation and Gaming’ at MDU’s Swaraj Sadan Conference Hall, Dr Mukherjee urged students to combine communication skills with technology and digital expertise. Dr Mukherjee is also an alumna of MDU.
She said subject knowledge alone is no longer enough to succeed in the evolving job market. Effective communication, ICT skills, creativity and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies are becoming key career assets.
Giving students the mantra ‘Listen, Observe and Create – Be a Creative Communicator’, she explained the concept of the Orange Economy and highlighted opportunities in content creation, startups and entrepreneurship.
Students participated in story-writing and storytelling activities and explored creative communication through short-film screenings. The session offered them insights into emerging career options and the skills required to enter the creative sector.
Campus School Director Prof Pooja Suneja said students must develop communication, creativity and technological skills alongside academic knowledge to meet the demands of the changing job market.
Dr Anju Hooda conducted the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. First Appellate Authority Prof Jaswant Saini, PRO Pankaj Nain and faculty members Manoj Hooda, Reena, Sonia and Santosh, among others, were present.
