Creative Brilliance Unfolds at Department of Fashion & Lifestyle’s Jury in DLC SUPVA
The Department of Fashion & Lifestyle in Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak; today conducted the jury evaluation for seventh-semester students, marking a significant academic milestone in their design journey. A total of 14 students presented their work across six major subjects - Sustainable Design, Visual Merchandising, Design Management, Brand Studies, Portfolio Design, Design Collection, and Summer Training.
Rohtak, November 25, 2025: The Department of Fashion & Lifestyle in Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak; today conducted the jury evaluation for seventh-semester students, marking a significant academic milestone in their design journey. A total of 14 students presented their work across six major subjects - Sustainable Design, Visual Merchandising, Design Management, Brand Studies, Portfolio Design, Design Collection, and Summer Training.
Under Design Collection and Sustainable Design, students showcased products developed through extensive research, experimentation with materials, and creative exploration. Their work reflected contemporary fashion sensibilities rooted in sustainability, innovation, and craft integration.
In Design Management and Brand Studies, students presented case-based learning and brand development projects, highlighting their understanding of branding, consumer analysis, market positioning, and strategic communication for various companies.
The Visual Merchandising segment featured curated displays where students demonstrated their ability to conceptualize and execute window displays and in-store layouts—an essential skill for retail and luxury sectors.
Students also presented a consolidated portfolio, compiling projects from Semester 1 to 7. This comprehensive portfolio will serve as a key document for securing internships and employment opportunities. In the upcoming final semester, students will undergo on-the-job training in leading design and lifestyle companies.
The jury was convened by Dr. Satish Ranga, HOD Fashion & Lifestyle, and conducted by Swati Mishra, Creative Director & Co-Founder, Majestic Design, who served as the external expert.
Dr. Satish Ranga, expressing his appreciation for the students’ work, said, “The seventh-semester jury is always a decisive moment for our students as they prepare to transition into professional environments. The work presented today reflects not just creativity, but dedication, discipline, and a maturing design sensibility.”
Expert Swati Mishra, commending the students for their effort and originality, remarked, “It was inspiring to witness the students’ clarity of thought, conceptual strength, and hands-on execution. Their understanding of sustainability, branding, and visual storytelling is commendable. These young designers of DLC SUPVA have immense potential, and I look forward to seeing them shape the future of the fashion and lifestyle industry.”
Today was the first day of Juries commencing in various departments, for the odd semester. The process will continue for the rest of the month.
