Rohtak, April 16, 2026: In a decisive move against unauthorized developments, the District Administration carried out a major demolition drive in villages Ismaila 9B and Gandhra, reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy towards illegal constructions and colonies.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the administration is continuously undertaking strict enforcement action in controlled and urban areas to prevent unauthorized construction and illegal plotting.

During the operation, action was taken against three illegal colonies spread over approximately 42 acres. The enforcement team demolished:
• Unauthorised kutcha road networks
• Developed pucca road infrastructure
• 12 under-construction foundations
• One illegal structure

The demolition was carried out by the District Town Planner team with adequate police deployment, ensuring law and order throughout the operation.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the district administration will not allow any illegal colony or unauthorized construction to develop under any circumstances.

He said that such drives will continue regularly to ensure:
• Planned urban development
• Protection of citizens from fraudulent land dealings
• Strict enforcement of planning regulations

The Deputy Commissioner urged citizens to remain cautious and responsible:

“Do not invest your hard-earned money in illegal colonies or unauthorized constructions. Such properties are liable for demolition at any stage.”

He emphasized that citizens must verify the legal status of any property before investing.

District Town Planner (Link Officer, Jhajjar) Anju also appealed to the public to:
• Avoid purchasing plots in unauthorized colonies
• Verify approvals and permissions before any investment
• Visit the District Town Planner Office (Sector 1, Rohtak) for verification

The administration has made it clear that enforcement drives will be sustained and intensified, and strict action will be taken against violators to maintain orderly urban growth.
