CPI to launch mass movement against Modi government’s conspiracies to split society on communal lines

Ludhiana, October 31, 2022: There is mass discontent due to exorbitant rise in price of essential commodities because pro-corporate and exclusive economic policies of Modi government. Instead of taking pro people steps the government is trying to distract people’s attention from the issues of their concern and is trying to raise communal passions and split the society on communal lines. The recently held party congress of the Communist Party of India (CPI) at Vijayawada took serious note of this and decided to launch mass movements against these policies. 

The district unit of the party in the executive committee meeting held under the chair of Com Chamkaur Singh decided to hold mass meeting on 16th November, the martyrdom day of Kartar Singh Sarabha. This meeting will highlight the preaching for justice and equality of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji and its impact on Indian revolutionaries to fight back injustice of any kind.  In this meeting fascist actions of the Modi government will be opposed. Com D P Maur – Secretary CPI District Ludhiana said that the party will highlight the role of first socialist revolution popularly known as the October revolution in various meetings in the time to come. Women’s conference will be organized to raise voice against atrocities and Modi governments tacit silence on these.
 
Those who include in the meeting are Dr Arun Mitra, Ramesh Rattan, M S Bhatia, Vijay Kumar, Naval Chibber, Kewal Singh Banwait, Gulzar Pandher, Jasvir Jhaj, Amarjit Kaur Goria, Bhagwan Singh Somal Kheri, Jagdish Rai Bobby, Charan Singh Sarabha, Deepak Kumar and Gurwant Singh.
