Marking World Environment Day, Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) organized a plantation drive at its Sector-56 Grid Sub Station with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and enhancing green cover in the city.

Chandigarh, June 5, 2026: Marking World Environment Day, Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) organized a plantation drive at its Sector-56 Grid Sub Station with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and enhancing green cover in the city.
On the occasion, Chairman CPDL, P.R. Kumar, along with Director CPDL, Arun Kumar Verma, CEO CPDL, Brajesh Kumar and Sandeep Rai, Head (HR) planted saplings of Mango, Amla, Guava, and other trees within the premises of Grid Sub-station to promote biodiversity and strengthen green cover.
Senior officers and employees of the company also participated enthusiastically in the drive and pledged to contribute towards a greener and cleaner environment.
As a responsible power utility, CPDL continues to integrate environmentally sustainable practices into its operations and community initiatives. The plantation drive reinforces the company's vision of balancing reliable power distribution with environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
